The third edition of Formats for Living. Contemporary floor plans in Amsterdam has come available in 2006. With a provocative selection of almost one hundred floor plans, this much asked for English-language publication documents the development of domestic floor plans in Amsterdam over the past ten years. The floor plans are drawn to a scale of 1:200 and according to a standardized method of drawing. Accompanying essays by Noud de Vreeze and Marinus Oostenbrink discuss the history of the domestic floor plan in the Netherlands in the past century and the development of Amsterdam's domestic floor plans over the past ten years respectively.
