Designed by Dutch architect Jan de Jong (1917 - 2001) as his own residence, the Huis Jan de Jong in Schaijk, a true example of the so called ‘Bossche School’ (architect Hans van der Laan), and has remained an icon of Dutch residential modernism ever since. Lovingly portrayed by well-known architectural photographer Kim Zwarts the house, its studio, all come alive through refined qualities of light and the natural shading. Moreover Hilde de Haan contributes an essay in which they describes this particular house.
