The Revolving Earth

Amsterdam architect, writer and lecturer Machiel Spaan wanders across the slowly spinning Earth and becomes increasingly aware that the Earth itself is also a wanderer. In the 21 new narratives of The  Revolving Earth – a sequel to his first book The Wandering Maker – he walks together with the Earth, his silent teacher.A sustainable relationship with the planet requires more than just the conscious use of building materials. Drawing circularity and sustainability. on his own work and teaching, Spaan advocates for a more mindful approach to resources and a design philosophy rooted in ongoing dialogue about Machiel Spaan is an architect, co-founder of the Amsterdam-based firm M3H Architects, and has been teaching at various architecture programs in the Netherlands and abroad for over thirty years.
