60 Monod – EGR (Collection du Cercle)

Inherited from the countryside, far from the old structured and compact town, the place is rough with small houses on one side and sheds on the other. A lane pointing towards the town centre separates them. The project plot is a residual void surrounded by industry. The place is fixed, faced with the opportunity to build here, one could give up and leave the place to the umpteenth shed without architectural ambitions. Or one accepts the challenge and evaluates how to dose one's intervention. This is the choice of EGR in Pierrelatte: with the desire to make a work of architecture, to introduce a finished and autonomous building, among others.
