The ‘Album Architectures’ collection reflects on contemporary heritage through architectural landscapes of cities. This publication examines the modern architecture of Abidjan, a city on the southern Atlantic coast of Côte d'Ivoire in West Africa. Franco-Ivorian photographer François-Xavier Gbré presents a photographic survey of thirty buildings that represent the architecture following independence. He is also the winner of the Louis Roederer Prize of the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles in 2020. Also included are texts by Issa Diabeté, Suzanne Vogel-Tolstoï, Baptiste Manet, and Martial Manet.
