Analogue Oldnew Architecture – Miroslav Šik

Analogous architecture and old-new architecture are key aspects of the teaching of Miroslav Sik at the ETH Zurich. During his first, analogous period there between 1983 and 1991, Sik was Assistant at the Chair of Fabio Reinhart. In his second, old-new period between 1999 and 2018, Miroslav Sik has been Professor of Design at the ETH Zurich, producing reform architecture with ensembles, milieu atmospheres and midcomfort properties. His architecture, theory and teaching represent a specific, relevant pillar of Swiss and European architecture.
