Portuguese architect Camilo Rebelo’s ‘AKIK’ focuses on communicating the author’s ideas and built work, hinting at the relationships between the images which represent the built or proposed architecture and the author’s logic, intuition, and poetics for its spaces. The book combines textual explanations of each project alongside a visual representation. The type and diversity of those representations expresses Rebelo’s design process and architectural results. Featuring dozens of projects, the collection makes clear that the architect relies heavily on intuition, while in the process also exploring diverse design tools and approaches in his work.
