Architect Gilles Perraudin is a pioneer in sustainable and ecological architecture, and his office has been using stone as a structural element for fifteen years. According to him, “We have presented and advocated the use of this material in many lectures, conferences and seminars in France and around the world. As our presentations are frequently met with the same questions, we decided to record the lessons of our experience in order to provide… answers regarding the process.” Rather than compiling an exhaustive volume on the topic, he chose for a construction manual that presents basic techniques and guidelines for massive stone construction.
