Comprehensive survey of 59 office designs that have been realised since 1950 and created by some of the world’s leading architects and bureaus. The Alcoa Headquarters in Pennsylvania by Harrison and Abramovitz and SOM’s Lever House, New York, introduce the survey while Jean Nouvel’s Torre Agbar in Barcelona concludes it. In-between projects include designs from the likes of Eero Saarinen, I.M. Pei, Phillip Johnson, Kevin Roche and John Dinkeloo, Richard Rogers, Cesar Pelli, Norman Foster, Michael Graves, Hiroshi Hara, Kohn Pedersen Fox and Renzo Piano. Chronologically presented and comprehensively illustrated throughout, each building is accompanied by interior and exterior photographs, technical drawings and short introductory texts.
