José Adrião Arquitetos - No Beginning No End (2010-2020)

In the approach of Portuguese practice José Adrião Arquitetos, a perceptive, forward-looking contemplation of a space serves as a starting point for determining its potential for regeneration. It is an idea of the future that always contains the past. The places we encounter have neither a beginning nor an end; they are the product of successive periods of time, layer upon layer. The idea behind this book was to capture recollections of the continually evolving working processes that have resulted in various designs and projects. Fifteen selected works constructed in the decade between 2010 and 2020 are featured which have proven particularly significant for the studio.
