Konserthuset Stockholm is more than a building; it is a place where music, people, and memories come together. At its centre is the Main Hall, which architect Ivar Tengbom called “The Red Heart.” In his vision, he sought to create a classical temple dedicated to music, where the language of antiquity and the history of music meet in a house filled with concerts, stories, expectations, and dreams. Above all, Konserthuset is defined by its people: musicians, conductors, technicians, guides, and staff whose daily work brings it to life. For six years, photographer Yanan Li has documented this world, revealing its quiet moments and intensity. This book traces the Concert Hall from its origins in the 1920s to today’s musical life.
