Increasing demands for resource-saving, long-lasting, and low-maintenance buildings have brought the potential of solid construction methods back into focus. This volume examines building with solid, serially produced elements and components using various construction methods and solutions. Both traditional and contemporary design and manufacturing techniques are evaluated while promoting responsible approaches to the future use of materials and modular systems. Selected exemplary works are analysed by students from EAST design studio in a graphical study that offers an overview of the constructive and climactic connections of the case studies.
