This issue features two Spanish practices: the Madrid-based HANGHAR and BeAr (Ane Arce and Iñigo Berasategui) in Bilbao. The work of both offices demonstrates an approach that is at once critical and deeply committed to the realities of place. Through a representative selection of recent projects, the magazine explores different ways of understanding the relationship between territory, construction, and programme. The offices introduce new approaches to industrialisation, adaptation, and the production of contemporary forms. Altogether, it is a reflection on a generation of architects for whom architecture continues to be both a cultural discipline and a concrete practice.
