Parliaments of the European Union

In Parliaments of the European Union Dutch photographer Nico Bick (b. 1964) offers a unique photographic view of our European 'houses of democracy'. The book contains photographs of the spaces where the parliaments of the 28 member states of the European Union and the two houses European Parliament in Brussels and Strasbourg, have their plenary sessions. Each of these spaces has been photographed in three or four photographs from a single point of view, from the room itself and always at times when nobody was present. The triptychs or quadriptychs of the 30 Parliaments are presented in a unique way through generous fold-out pages with impressive details.
