Strange Conditions. Mies van der Rohe Chair 2000

The main open space in the center of Barcelona contains various features that have been the subject of much discussion, both throughout history and today. The complexity of this public open space requires the incorporation of strange conditions as a design strategy. The projects directed by Wiel Arets respond in a radical and emphatic way to the new question marks hanging over the city.
