UED Urban Environment Design 001 2014/04 - Li Xinggang 2004-2013

Architect Li Xinggang founded his studio in 2001 and has since been involved in more than 30 projects throughout China. His work is inspired by a focus on classical Chinese gardens and their contemporary characteristics, and applications of the modern architecture language of structure and form, skin and material. Architectural history plays a central role in his particular style of eclectic modernism. Featured are notable works such as the Jixi Museum, Xi’erqi Station in Beijing, Hainan International Conference & Exhibition Centre and the Wenchuan Earthquake Memorial.
