(German language) Jürgen von Gagern, Peter Ludwig and Udo von der Mühlen stand for avant-garde buildings, which have helped shape the cityscape of Munich as a fixed size since the 1960s and 1970s. Projects such as "Amalienpassage", "Kurfürstenhof" or "Orpheus & Eurydice" are exemplary for a total work that can assert itself in the field of tension between requirements, trends and living comfort along the spirit of time to this day. The volume shows the genesis of the oeuvre from reconstruction and brutalism to postmodernism - also via the common Office partnership of the three architects. Original documents provide information about the social context and the origin of their work. Numerous photographs and plans illuminate 12 buildings in detail, illustrate their structure and use and provide clues for the housing construction of the future.
