RIBA Drawings Monographs 4: Christopher Nicholson (1904-48) was a leading architect and designer of the early Modern Movement in Britain. Despite an architectural career interrupted by the Second World War and later cut short by his tragic death in a gliding accident, Nicholson left a considerable legacy of built and unbuilt projects. His most famous works of the thirties were in sympathy with the advanced modern style of his brother, the abstract artist Ben Nicholson. His young protégé, Hugh Casson, assisted on numerous schemes and produced many of the drawings illustrated in this book.
