Perennial Preview : Creative Ecologie and Integral Landscape Design

In June 1996 the Perennial Perspectives Foundation organised a symposium in Arnhem, Holland, with the title Perennial Perspectives. Creative ecology and integral landscape design. By presenting exciting results of recent garden art and practice in the Netherlands, in Germany and in the U.S.A., the symposium intends to give an impulse to the integration of landscape design, ecological field experience and the horticultural crafts. The early Dutch ecological parks and landscapes, especially those of Amstelveen, have received worldwide attention. In Germany, under the supervision of professor Richard Hansen, the horticultural school of Weihenstephan thoroughly experimented with ecological principles and possibilities.
