Having actively participated in the previous World Congress of Architects held in Barcelona in 1996, Arquitectura Viva wishes to do so again, reflecting on the transformations that have taken place in the city over the past thirty years. The issue opens with a feature article in which the members of the Congress's curatorial team—Pau Bajet, Mariona Benedito, Maria Giramé, Tomeu Ramis, Pau Sarquella, and Carmen Torres—analyse the current state of the profession and provide insights into this summer's event.
